Automation

Thanks to its internal staff, S.E.I. srl develops and designs solutions for the automation of machines and plant process control.
In collaboration with the customer's engineers, S.E.I. designers create the operating specifications and the P&I diagram of the process, assisting in the choice of equipment, supervision systems and measuring instruments for field signals.

The priority is to offer the best value for money and easy availability of products on the international market, i.e. creation of standard systems customized by engineering.

Electrical design

Electrical design is carried out in-house with the aid of workstations equipped with various software such as AUTOCAD (Betacad), ELCAD, EPLAN P8, etc.

Our engineers, through a detailed analysis of the customer needs, plot out the specifications according to which they develop the hardware project.
All documentation is produced according to IEC 60204-1, IEC 750, EN 50.00XX, UL508A and customer-specific standards.

S.E.I s.r.l. has passed the stringent requirements to obtain authorization to mark electrical equipment - for the purpose of controlling industrial machines produced for the North American market (USA and Canada) - with the UL, CUL and CULUS marks.
With these brands, it is possible to specifically create switchboards, junction boxes, pulpits, lecterns, consoles and everything that may be necessary for the management and control of industrial automation machinery.

PLC software design

The PLC design department is composed of several senior engineers. The company's choice to be integrators has allowed us to deepen our expertise on various types of equipment. PLC software is developed in the most complex configurations and different types of motor controls are adopted - brushless, vector DC or AC.

We have carried out projects with PLCs from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Omron and ABB; for each of these PLCs, we have used axis control boards, axis interpolation control boards, PID control boards, numerical controls, serial communication boards, Modbus communication boards, and load-cell direct connection boards.
We have created communication drivers between PLCs and dedicated equipment.

For some customers, in very complex applications, we have developed network architectures between PLCs and computers with: industrial Ethernet, Profibus, Controlnet (Allen-Bradley), up to several dozen nodes, all aimed at full plant automation control.
All programs are created according to IEC 1131-3 (CEI EN61131-3) and customer standards.

Within its staff, S.E.I. s.r.l. also includes IT designers who deal with supervision systems.
The basic function of a supervision system is the human-machine interface (MMI, HMI) aimed at using computers to their full potential.
In step with these technical innovations, S.E.I. s.r.l. is now able to provide both complete projects and specific software with which it is possible to have greater integration between industrial information systems. The offer of SCADA systems (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), production tracking, statistical analysis and data exchange with higher management levels is oriented towards the identification by the customer of increasingly efficient corporate control strategies.

The development of PC programs for supervision systems is performed using both SCADA packages - including WINCC, TIA PORTAL, FACTORYLINK, INTELLUTION, IFIX, SWMAKER - and programming languages such as Visual Basic.

All programs are created according to IEC and customer standards.
